Houston Storytellers' Guild

Everyone has a story, join us in spinning fun tales!

  Let's Celebrate Together with the Magic of Story.

   We may get cranked early with business talk, guild ideas, and even some gossip.

Then, we share, tell, and respond to each other's stories.

So bring your tales. Please keep them at 10 minutes max.

Storytellers on the Radio

Dr. Hank Roubicek will be hosting SO, WHAT'S YOUR STORY?

KPFT, 90.1 FM @ 10 pm every Thursday.

For us to continue to have a storytelling show, sponsored by the Guild, KPFT needs...REQUIRES feedback. Obviously POSITIVE feedback is best:). So I ask that you go the feedback form at the KPFT site, or call Ernesto (program manager) at the number found on the KPFT site to offer your comments, PLEASE! It's very important.

Partnership Event with the Houston Storytellers Guild! Storytelling

Come hear and share stories of adventure in the great outdoors! Professional storytellers will share short stories all about the wild – from true to folk to banjo! You are welcome to share a story of your own “Encounter with Nature”– please limit to 5 minutes and pre-register online. 



 

Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Fee: $10\adult; $8\children. Advanced reservations required.
(This program is designed for grownups & kids who can listen like grownups.)

 

Activities Storytelling Circle – Log Cabin Deck

The theme is Encountering Nature.  HSG  tellers, Leona Hoegsberg, Rebecca Narrowe, Andy Gass, Sheila Phillips, Jere Pfister, Tom Yeager, Sally and David Goodroe, will be telling as well as our MC Brian Herod.


Refreshments provided – popcorn, lemonade, trail mix, etc.
(Attendees are welcome to bring picnic supper\snacks.)

In 2013 we had a great time with our Tellabration, 50+ folks heard great stories from: Sheila Phillips, Jay Stailey, Brian Herod, Linda Befeld, Alice Evergreen, Judy Alton, Leona Hoegsberg, Sally Bates Goodroe, & Jere Pfister. We also had some wonderful folksie songs by David Goodroe and Eric Johnson. The Black Lab's food was great and we look forward to our 2014 gathering.
